A free online map viewer for Asia that uses Esri imagery, topographic and hillshade basemaps, the Himawari infrared satellite layer, and national map layers for Taiwan.
Taiwan: the English-language e-map and the aerial imagery from the National Land Surveying and Mapping Center (NLSC). Hong Kong: the base map, aerial imagery and English place names from the Lands Department (Government of the Hong Kong SAR). For Japan, with the detailed national maps of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan, use the Japan page. Elsewhere in Asia the detail comes from the Esri basemaps, and the worldwide layers marked “Global” are listed below.
Use the search box to find a place, measure distances and areas, draw lines, polygons and buffers, click the map to query the layers that support it, convert coordinates between decimal degrees, degrees-minutes-seconds and UTM, and load your own KML or KMZ files.
